UK Based Application Process
We’ve made our process as flexible and straightforward as possible. And we’ll support you every step of the way.
Six Simple Stages
- Competency Based Interview
This is normally held at the practice you’ll be based at and will involve talking about the skills you’ll need for the role. You can prepare for this by thinking about when you have delivered great results in such areas as teamwork, customer service and relationship building.
- Clinical Interview
You’ll then be contacted by a Clinical Support Manager, Clinical Director or clinician from the practice. They will usually carry out an in-depth interview over the phone, asking scenario-based questions and covering such topics such as NHS regulations and clinical competencies.
If you impress at your interviews, we’ll then provide you with details of how we’ll work together to provide our patients with a world-class service. We’ll also outline the information we need to complete the compliance stage and cover such important matters as contracts, remuneration, development pathways and joining us.
- Compliance Process
Here we’ll need the following:
- Your GDC certificate, MI certificate, IRMER and completed mydentist paperwork
- CPR dated within last 12 months
- DBS (formally CRB) issued in last 12 months
- UK medical results (Hep B, Hep C, HIV & TB)
- Proof of your eligibility to work in the UK
- References covering your last two years of employment.
We may also ask you to complete any required LAT paperwork at this time, including transfer or payments online documents
We’ll invite you to join our two-day Safe Start induction programme at the state-of-the-art mydentist academy in Manchester. This covers CPR, CQC, best practice and how to get the most from your career with mydentist. So, you’ll be confident you can deliver the highest levels of patient care in our safe and secure working environment.
- Start in Practice
During your first week, you’ll have a practice orientation where you’ll meet your team and learn how they will support you. You’ll also meet and receive further support from your regional team, including your local Clinical Support Manager and Clinical Director.
